Day 1
Arrival at Paro Airport

Upon arrival, you will be meet and transfer to Thimpu from Paro Airport and check in at the hotel and overnight stay there.

Day 2
Thimphu sightseeing

You will enjoy sightseeing in the capital city of Bhutan, Thimphu. You will have your overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3
Thimpu - Gelephu

There will be a morning drive to Gelephu for about eight hours (140 kilometers). There will be a stop for sightseeing. You will have your overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4
Gelephu - Gomphu

Drive for five hours (150 kilometers) to Gomphu and stop on the way and do birding between Tingtibi and Gomphu. Gomphu is the first eco-camp located at an altitude of 1,457 meters above sea level. The eco-trail passes through mixed broadleaf forests and thick undergrowths with numerous birds like barbets, hornbills, bulbuls, doves, woodpecker, and cuckoos. You will have your overnight stay in the eco-lodge.

Day 5
Gomphu to Shamshama to Pantang

Drive from Gomphu to Shamshama via Pantang and trek to Shillingtoe. Please note that there is no electricity connection in Shillingtoe eco camp, you will be provided with candle lamp. Then you will trek to Shillingtoe. The entire trek will take about four hours and the last leg before reaching Shillingtoe eco-camp is a climb for over half an hour.

The trail is very rich for bird watching with many birds such as thrushes, drongos, hornbills, partridges, pheasants, bulbuls, tree pies, barbets, eagles, fowls, and many other species. You will have your overnight stay at the eco-lodge.

Day 6
Shillingtoe to Shamshama to Panbang

Walk from Shillingtoe to Shamshama and drive to Panbang. There will be an afternoon sightseeing to Galabi and nearby areas. Shillingtoe is located at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level. The camp is on the way to a village and provides a good view of the area due to its location at a higher alleviation.

Birds such as bulbuls, barbets, thrushes, hornbills, kingfisher, cormorant, wagtails, trogons, and many other species can be seen along the trail between Shillingtoe to Pangbang. The hike from Shiliingtoe to Changazam suspension bridge takes about three hours and on the way one can see religious cave, bat cave, and a twin waterfall (Lelang) and excursion to local villages. You will have your overnight stay at eco-lodge.

Day 7
Panbang to Manas

You will drive from Panbang to Manas (11 kilometers). Then you trek for seven and a half kilometers one way. There is also a short trek which takes about one hour and 30 minutes. Please note that the tourist needs special permission to conduct research inside the park. The park management will not allow collection of any materials from the park without having such permits. You will have your overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8
Panbang to Trongsa via Zhemgang

You will drive to Trongsa via Zhemgang for about 10 hours. While on the way, you will do birding. You will have your overnight stay at Yangkhil Resort.

Day 9
Trongsa to Thimpu to Paro

In the morning, you will visit Trongsa then you will drive to Paro for about eight to nine hours (240 kilometers). On the way, you will stop for a sightseeing at Chendibji then you will have a lunch at Nobding. After lunch, you will descend down to Wangdi and drive further up to Dochula pass. If the weather is clear, you will have spectacular view of the mountains. Then you will drive to Paro for an hour. You will have your overnight stay at Tashi Namgay Resort.

Day 10
Departure

You will be dropped to the airport for your own destination.
